Horse Hobby Group 3 years agoThis entire year has been challenging when it comes to riding. Too cold. Too hot. Too windy. I have ended up just walking with the big guy for exercise. It doesn’t help that he can’t do more than just walk him so I justify “just walking” rather than putting a saddle on him and getting on. I took this week off of work while my husband is at the ranch in NM and was hoping to get a few rides in, but things just haven’t worked out. Yes, thanks! I’m all healed up but my horse is still having issues. She’s walk/trot for now, but that still gets me horseback 🙂

Horse Hobby Group 3 years, 5 months agoI love DST and I’ve been able to ride several times a week. I’m rehabbing my horse from some lameness issues and getting myself going again after fracturing a vertebrae last fall. Riding is just good medicine!

Horse Hobby Group 3 years, 6 months agoWeather has really put the skids on my riding. Well…that and my husbands work schedule. If the wind is blowing like it has been (and will be again today) it’s just not safe to ride with no one around. We will get to a point where it won’t matter, but until then…sigh. Hoping you all are getting in some good time with your equine partners.

Sooo happy for you! Can I be jealous? Planned to ride on Saturday, but Mother Nature changed my mind. Dang wind! Going to blow again today and tomorrow, as well as rain tomorrow, sooo…guess I’ll have to wait a few more days. At least Scooter will have more time to get the meds working for his joints. Hey, I have a mini-trampoline, and I find bouncing it, marching and jogging really fire the right core muscles, dynamically !
